Crest Hollow Wedding Cakes

Crest Hollow Wedding Cakes

Has anyone ever upgraded their cake from Crest Hollow? I saw two photos of cakes and I was hoping to doing something to jazz them up. Anyone have this happen during their wedding? Any advice would be great!!!!

I was told that they only offer one cake now-white whipped cream. When I booked they told me I could upgrade for a fee. Well now, my BM manager says no. I really want a chocolate cake (on the outside) and they refered me to La Bonne Boulangerie but that would all have to come out of my pocket. It's really quite annoying.

Did they tell you differently?

Do we get to at least choose our own design if we can't choose the flavor or is it one cake for all? I didn't even think to ask this. I figured it was the same in all catering halls.

I was sent to La Bonne too! I thought that Crest Hollow was going to pay for the 'guts' of the cake, but I was wrong. They have beautiful work, and Donnie the owner was wonderful to be honest. I was just not prepared for the cost of what I picked. I also did pick the most extravegent cake too.

I am hoping I can go speak to Ergas which will allow me to upgrade somewhat. We'll see.

I can't believe Crest Hollow is on a two cake system. Seems below them.

What's the second cake? I only heard about the whip cream round one. To answer the post above, you can't design it. You can pick the flavor inside.
I met with Donnie too and thought the pricing was really high. We haven't decided what we're doing yet...but must decide soon!

we were having a hard time with our BM so we switched and now Mitchell is our BM and we were able to compromise on the cake. (I wanted square)

I haven't decided yet to be honest. I would be happier if I got something a little more modern. I have to talk to Mitch and see what the options are. Part of me would love to get the cake from La Bonne, but at the same time why pay for something twice?

BTW, I think if I paid what I was quoted for a cake my parents would shoot me!

it's going to be through Crest Hollow -- they 'did me the favor' of getting me the square cake instead of the plain round one...

Since your wedding day is coming up, after your all done with the honeymoon and other stuff can you post pics of the cake and let me know, and i'm sure other people would like the info too, how the cake tasted.

Why don't you like Sharon? She's not our BM, but I heard good things about her. Other than the cake, we've had no issues with service. They call back when they're supposed, to. We're about to do menu planning in the next few weeks. I'll let you know how that goes.

I am sorry to hear you aren't happy. If you aren't you can call and ask for my BM Mitchell and tell him you aren't happy with how things are going. He would probably be able to help you out. You should be happy with everything. I am sorry you aren't.
