My dress is an A line with a dropped waist. It is fitted through the bodice to the dropped waistline (a few inches below the natural waist). Right now, the skirt falls very straight with deep folds (it's a fairly heavy silk satin).
I would like to give it a little more 'pouf' so the folds aren't so dramatic and to give it more shape - BUT - I'm worried that you will see the lines of the underskirt/slip/crinoline through the material since the waist is so low. All of the underskirts that I've seen have natural waists.
Did that make any sense?
If it did - does anyone have any suggestions? Or maybe one of you ladies has solved this problem with your dress?
