I attempted to make this recipe yesterday. It was one can of cream of celery soup, 1/2 cup wild rice, chicken breast (i used pork chops) and some onion soup powder sprinkled on top. The recipe said to cook it 7-9 hours on low.
by the 7th hour, it was completely burned. Hard as a rock!!!
Has anyone else experienced this? SHould i have added water when i first put it on?

I think you probably needed to add water ... I don't think 1 can of cream soup is liquidy enough to cook the rice and stew the meat. But that's just a guess ...

Did the recipe call for a can of condensed soup, or regular soup? If you used Campbell's, it's condensed so you have to add water. Just a guess!

it was a can of cream of celery soup. I didn't bother to read the can. THats probably what I did wrong..But now i know! dur!

Also the chicken breasts have more water content than pork chops...especially those with the bone in.
