Re: crockpot recipes????

i make chili kinda random no real recipe

one can of diced tomatoes with chili pepper
two large cans of diced tomatoes plain
large packet of turkey meat browned until not pink and drained
5 cloves garlic diced
one medium onion diced
two cans red kidney beans drained
one small green pepper chopped
one small red pepper chopped
salt and pepper to taste

cook for 6-8 hours the longer the better just like sauce

i kind of just mix things as i go....i don't think i forgot anything here
you can mix and match the tomatoes with the chili pepper and plain depending on how spicy you can handle...i can't do to spicy acid reflux :(

Re: crockpot recipes????

i love mine -

you cook a lb of ground turkey with a chopped onion. when it's cooked throw it in the crockpot with a jar of chunky salsa, a can of tomatoe puree, a can (small one) of green chilis, and a bunch of chili powder. FH also puts in hot sauce to spice it up. cook it all day and then about 10 min. before you serve it throw in a can of pinto beans (rinse them first!). that's it - super easy and SO yummy.
