I am compiling my HM photos for the montage for the wedding video. If I crop some of the photos, will it look weird in the video? Does the videographer stretch out the photos so the images are distorted? Or do they leave the size as is and have some sort of background on the screen? Thanks.

I wouldn't touch them yet. My videographer said to just email him everything in it's original format, so that nothing gets distorted or blurred.
He can always crop them himself if he needs to, or like you were saying add a background.

Maybe you shold ask your videographer...most of the time they can handle different sizes if they don't enlarge it to the full size of the screen
