Re: Cruise

I know of two people who went on Norwegan, I think it was called Dawn. It leaves from NY and goes to the Bahamas. They both went on the same ship at different times and they both had a GREAT time! I love cruises myself, but I flew down to Puerto Rico for the boat.

I know Carnival does one out of New York to Puerto Rico, St. Martin, etc... for 7 days. Look them up on expedia.

I've been on many different cruise lines and Royal Carribean is always top of my list, I think they have their Voyager sailing out of NJ ( just across the river from NY) just as good.

I also enjoyed Royal Carribean. I liked Carnival too but I think Royal Carribean is a nice cruiseline for a honeymoon.

Re: Cruise

I would try Norewgian---its freestyle so u wont have to sit at a table w/other couples when dining!! I know Carnival doesn't have this & I don't know about the other cruise lines...but I don't know if any other lines do 'freestyle'. That would be my first question--unless you don't mind dining w/strangers EVERY night!!

I did this cruise last year. It was excellent. Leaves from New York goes to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and Tortola. 8 days, 7 nights. Had a blast. The best thing about it was it is out of New York. I am not a fan of flying so it was perfect for me.

Just want to let you know last year when I spoke to a travel agent she said that Carnival is not as good as it used to be. I went on a cruise about 2 years ago and I was not thrilled at all. She said that princess cruises are one of the top as well as Royal and Celebrity.

Try Royal Caribbean, Celebrity or Princess, I have been on both Celebrtiy and Princess and both are great. I have also heard wonderful things about Holland America, but you would have to fly.

I just went on the Norwegian Dawn three Weeks ago, and though it was a nice ship but, the ports it stops in where not that great. Carnival Cruise line is just okay. I would really recommed going to New Jersey and taking Royal Caribbean or they have cruises out of North Fork Virginia, Boston, and Philadelphia.

If you can get a cruise to eastern Caribbean I would definitely recommend it.
Just remember its going to be cold sailing out of NY or NJ so keep that in mind.

Re: Cruise

I hate to burst your bubble but I don't think this will be a possibility. November is not a time when cruises go out of NY. In addition most cruises leave on Saturdays and not Sundays so that will also limit your choices even if you fly somewhere.

The Dawn is sailing out of NY at this time BUT it won't work for you as it is doing 10 nights - and it leaves the week you want to go on Thursday Nov 16, 2006 - and then won't be leaving NY again until Nov 26, (which I think is a Tuesday)

The ONLY NY option that you would have would be the NCL Spirit - which is doing I believe 11 night sailings out of NY which IS leaving on Nov. 19th.

At this time of year there are plenty of cruise choices but you must fly to take them - they are starting up the winter carribean season - so all the lines will be sailing from places like Ft Lauderdale, Miami, Port Canaveral, Galveston, San Juan. Unfortunately you will also be more limited as you want to sail on a sunday - while there are some sunday sailings most 7 days (RCCL does have some sunday 7 day sailings) sailings leave on Saturdays. I am assuming you can't leave Sat as you are getting married on that day. If you can change you schedule a bit and are set on a cruise you might want to wait a week to take your honeymoon.
