If my cruise says you start departing from the ship @ 7am, what time is it safe to arrange a flight for?

I'd say after 1 is safe but, you could probably even do after 12... Royal Carribbean is really good about clearing you off of that boat to turn it around and sail back out.
Most of the time, they dismiss you by color based on your flight time. The last time I sailed with them though, they just gave it out by section of floor so we had to change our colors since we were in a large group.

I had a 12:10pm flight going home we were off our ship by 8:30am.. You can do a flight anytime after 11:30am depending how far the airport is from the port

What they did on my cruise last week was they had customs the last day of the cruise so it was much quicker

royal caribbean offers an early departure, if you don't need help with your bags you can be the first one off the ship but it's something crazy like 6 am, we did it because we were driving to another part of florida that day. But at least you know you'll make your flight!

I took a cruise out of Puerto Rico and had a late flight on my return. I read that the PR airport was AGONIZING to wait at and would have had to get there at like 11am.
Anyway, when we left the port there were all of these mini-tour buses offering a tour with a guarantee to be back at the airport by ___. It was perfect, we spent the whole day seeing Puerto Rico and got dropped off at the airport in time.
