I heard that on cruises you sit at a big table with other people to eat.. Is this true?

I think it generally depends on what cruise line you go on. Not 100% though. I would ask your travel agent and see what they say. I think that would be uncomfortable sometimes...........

Well im going on a carnival cruise. I never heard of this before.. but my sister said that norwegians big push is that they dont do that.. so i dunno.

I went on NCL 2x's...you don't sit with other people, but from what I've heard the food is eh compared to other cruiselines...but I don't really care, as long as they have salads and burgers!

you can request it either way. If you want just a table for the 2 of you ask otherwise you will probably sit with other people from the cruise.

You don't have to sit with a large table. You can tell the cruise line (prior to the trip) which one you prefer. You can request a table for two OR if you want to sit with another couple close to you in age-you can request that. The first cruise we went on, we requested another young couple, the 2nd one we went on was with FBIL and girlfriend, so we requested a table for 4. If you want a large one, they will give you that too. Just specify prior to trip or they may just sit you where ever they have an open spot.

i think it def depends on the cruiseline..I went on a royal carribean with my parents, brother and daughter and was seated at a table with another family with a small child.. we went on a carnival just the two of us and were seated by ourselves.. we're going on a disney in a couple of weeks and will be seated by ourselves next to a friend who is also going..
call the cruise line and put u'r request in..you may not mind sitting with another couple.. especially if they're honeymooning.. but u'd prob not wanna spend u'r romantic dinners with a screaming child throwing chicken fingers and licking up ketchup..

we have done carnival and princess cruise and on carnival we sat with people and on princess we chose anytime dining so everynight when we went to the dining room we requested a table for 2

i went on the crown princess and they didnt seat you with others...you tell them ahead of time how many ppl you are with and they seat you together, everyone had their own tables, i never saw ppl getting seated together

you can request a smaller table for 2 people...
or they would sit u with maybe 2 other couples.
or you can opt for a cruise that has no dinner seating like a norwegian cruise.
