Cruise Vs. Sandals Poll
I just wanted to take a poll to see where everyone would prefer out of the two. I'm thinking about my honeymoon now, and I'm inbetween a cruise to the Southern Caribbean and St. Lucia Sandals resort. Which would you pick?

Re: Cruise Vs. Sandals Poll
I was thinking of Cap Juluca in Anguilla for a few days then go to St Thomas or Aruba. I don't want to stay at Cap JUluca for more than 4 nights. I need some ideas too! I would love o hear from someone who has been to Anguilla!

I was debating the same thing. Since we never cruised before we thought the honeymoon wasnt the time to try it. We are going to the new Sandals Grande St. Lucian. I am very excited to go to st. lucia!

We're having the same discussion. We have been on 3 cruises and love them so much, we were planning on taking a Southern Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon. We are also looking into Sandals St Lucia, Grande and Aruba.
We hope to make a decision by the end of the month.

I vote Sandals. We went to the Golf & Spa in St. Lucia and LOVED IT!!!! Cruises are great, but I totally recommned the all-inclusive.

Re: Cruise Vs. Sandals Poll
Cruises are great... I'm all for them, but having said that, my fiance and I were dead set against going on one for our honeymoon. When you're on a cruise, they only place you can be alone is in your cabin, which is usually pretty small. Everywhere on the boat gets pretty crowded when you're at sea, and as honeymooners you have to decide if you wouldn't mind that. We opted for a more romantic vacation where we could have lots of alone time, out in the open as opposed to just in our hotel room.Good luck!

Re: Cruise Vs. Sandals Poll
WE also went to Sandals St. Lucia and it's amazing not having to worry about anything. On a cruise you pay for drinks (even soda and water)... Sandals I could eat and drink all day and not worry about how much I was spending. Very nice not to worry about money after the enormous amount we spent on the wedding.

I was also wondering what the Sandals rates are? Are they pricey? It includes 3 meals and drinks as well?

Re: Cruise Vs. Sandals Poll
It depends on what time of the yaer you go. It is usually more $$$ for the colder months. Yes, all inclusive means you can eat 5 meals a day if you want. We ate so much, and it includes all th edrinks you want, and snon-motorized sports. You can do snorkeleing, kayaking. The motorized sports were extra, but so well worth it. We want to go back

Re: Cruise Vs. Sandals Poll
We went from 7/30 to 8/6 and paid $4800 for everything including insurance...they said it was a little cheaper because we went on a weekday to a weekday but I think on Sundays there is a charter flight out of new york so that might be cheaper. Also our room had an oceanfront view... there are cheaper and more expensive rooms.

Re: Cruise Vs. Sandals Poll
We took the scuba course, it was amazing. The were paddle boats, snorling, waterskiing, kayaking, lots of silly games & parties, tons of food, REALLY NICE people & beutiful beaches. FH & I are NOT sun lovers at all, but we loved it-we're going again in January.

Re: Cruise Vs. Sandals Poll
My cousin had his honeymoon at Sandals St. Lucia. From the pictures I've seen it was absolutely breath-taking. If you'd like I could ask him what there is to do there other than lying on the beach or camping out in your room...

There is a ton of things to do. They always have activities you can participate throughout the day, as well as excursions. I highly recommend doing some of the excursions. They can be pricey, but so well worth it.

Re: Cruise Vs. Sandals Poll
There are a ton of things to do if you want to... scuba, snorkeling, they set up activities like beach and pool volleyball, drinking contests, dart contests, pool aerobics, beach bocci ball, day excursions (some of those are a little extra but you can go hiking, kayaking, bicycle riding, on a catamaran, booze cruise, helicopter ride, etc.). Everyday they have a listing of all the activities to do all day and there is usually something every hour from morning until late at night.Welcome New Vendors
