Cruises

I know you don't have to worry about purchasing food on a cruise...But what about off-shore excursions?
Are these things typically expensive?
What would these things be anyway?
I'm not a sports inclined person, so parasailing or waterskiing or anything like that would be out. I'd like to go on tours of the islands and things like that...
Not really a beach bum either...Any input??? I'll carefully read and consider anything anyone writes down. Thanks!

Re: Cruises

we did a cruise to the bahamas a couple of years ago and had a great time. From what I remember they had for excursions:
dolphin swim, like $50pp
scuba diving
sting ray swimming

we only did a
Rum Cruise that took us to a private beach and offered drinks the whoe time $15pp

edited to add: FH & I had a lot of fun just renting scooters (which they never recommend for safety reasons-you get hurt the boat will not wait) and we explored the island ourselves and found provate beaches.

Re: Cruises

There are all different excursions. Some include meal and/or drinks, some don't. If you go onto your cruise lines website you can usually explore the excursions there. They give you the rates and you can even reserve them in advanceof your cruise.

Re: Cruises

I am having a shore excursion on most of the stops on our cruise. They all come with lunch. It is good that the ship docks for about about 12 hours ,and the shore excursions are about 5 1/2 hours so we will still have time to go look around on our own.
