DH & I went on Royal Caribbean for our HM. We took a 7 nt Eastern Caribbean on the Mariner of the Seas. The ship was amazing, food was great. I don't have a bad thing to say about the ship. The only thing I didn't like was Nassau, but St. Thomas & St. Martin was excellent!

Re: Cruises.. need feedback....
I've been on two cruises.
Celebrity Cruises is fantastic, Dh and I (not married at the time, in fact, we got engaged on that cruise) really enjoyed everything about that cruise. We went to Bermuda and had the best time. They practically fall all over themselves to serve you.
Dh and I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise for our HM and we hated it. The ports were fine, we went all over the southern caribbean, but the service was just awful. We had a problem with the ship's spa manager and if that wasn't enough - our stateroom attendant left the door to our suite open the entire time DH and I off the ship in last port, not to mention retaliated by 'losing' our luggage. We were completely disappointed with the cruise line because they were so highly recommended to us by our friends and travel agent. I will never cruise with them again. The kicker of that is, RC owns Celebrity. Go figure.
I have heard only good things about Princess Cruises.
I personally been on a Royal Carribean cruise to Bermuda and a Princess cruise to Hawaii.
Both lines are great. In addition my parents been on a few on both lines to the Caribbean on some of their newer ships and loved them all.
My DH went on a Celebrity cruise too and loved it.

Re: Cruises.. need feedback....
I went on Rccl ships only so far, they have been great... our first cruise we went casino crazy and spent too much money. this time leaving credit cards at home and going with a set limit. I felt like I went out to a great restaurant every night 7 days straight, no bill to pay. I also bring my own liquor so that is a total saver as well. I like to get loaded on my vacations, so that fact that there is no driving and everything is a 5 minute walk away is great. My first ship was explorer of the seas. now when we docked, I swear our boat ate up the rest. it is huge. I don't know if all that is necessary. I also get interior staterooms. this is a huge savings. If if is 300 on an upgrade or 300 spend on excursions, I forfeit the upgrade. I loved st.marteen's the beach(honeymoon beach) was great. DH and I got into our birthday suits!! lol. we rented jet skis there. st thomas was nice, I thought the st marteen beach was better though. puerto rico imo was a waste of time. We did the rain forest which was nice. but unless you drive far away from san juan, I don't think you feel like you are in the tropics. I love the bahamas. cheap fun. gorgeous beaches.

I couldn't agree more. I have nothing but great things to say about Celebrity....excellent food, service...everything is first class!
I took the Eastern Carribean one....Puerto Rico, St. Maartin, St. Thomas, and Bahamas.
We got engaged the day before we left for this cruise...it was a perfect celebration!!

I have been on the Adventure of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) and DH and I loved it! I also went on Princess to Alaska and loved them too.
I know someone mentioned the Nordic Prince, I have never heard of them...
I send lots of clients on Carnival and some like it and some don't....it depends on the person.
Celebrity is also another good cruise line (at least my clients tell me so )
Norwegian is another one I get mixed reviews about.

I did a Carnival cruise, Fantasy was the boat. I was with 5 other single(at the time) girls. Flew into PR, San juan..boat went to St. Thomas,Guadalupe, Antigua and Aruba. 7day trip and it was a good time. I could of done without Guadalupe. Other than that, It was a goodtime and lots of food..everywhere.
Aruba was the best island we hit and we were there from 8am-10pm..the longest one out of all the islands.

I did 3 cruises.
#1 Disney Cruise to Western Caribbean ~amazing. Disney really knows how to treat people! We had a balcony room.
#2 Carnival Destiny~to southern caribbean The service is very poor and the boat was old. The food wasn't that good either! We had a room with a window...not recommended.
#3 Golden Princess ~Southern Caribbean The food/service/entertainment was excellent! We went back to the balcony room.
I would definately recommend Princess...look on this website for good deals...

Also, Norweigen has a boat called the Dawn and they go out of NY to the southern caribbean on a 10-11 day cruise. At least you don't have to pay for the airfare!
If you have the extra money, go with the balcony...it's worth it!

I went on a Cunard cruise to the Southern Caribbean - would not recommend that line. Their average age of the passengers was much too high for me. And the ship was small so we felt every pitch and roll.
Took Norwegian to Bermuda out of NY - very nice cruise. They stopped at two ports in Bermuda. I liked the employee by the pool who spritzes you with Evian so you don't get too hot. The food was pretty good.
I also went on two Celebrity cruises - one in the Eastern Caribbean and Mexico and one in Europe. Both were excellent! By far my favorite of the three cruise lines I've experienced. The food was delicious and plenty of it, the crowd was a nice mix and the service was excellent. Every employee I encountered more than once remembered my name.

Took a Bermuda cruise out of NY on Princess & I could not rave enough about it...We were treated amazing but that was also bc it was the last voyage of the Pacific Princess 'the original love boat' & there were only 600 passengers...Putting that aside, the food was amazing & service & staff were outstanding! Highly recommend them!
Took a Disney Cruise on the Disney Wonder...Did the 4 days/3 night land & sea vacation...Disney sure knows how to treat it's passengers...Don't worry about it being a 'disney' boat thinking it will only be families...They are tons on the boat but there are also tons of couples...You can stay separate from families & also children on the boat if that is what you want...The accommodations were great, the best I have seen...We had an oceanview room & their was so much room....I happened to like the bathroom setup...There is one room with the bathtub/shower & it's own private sink & door...Then there is another room with just the toilet & a sink....It worked great for FH & I

Just so you know, these 10 and 11nt cruises are only in Janyary and part of February. Then they go back to a 7nt cruise from NY going to Nassau, Bahamas; Port Canarveral and Miami and I think a stop on Norwegian's private island.
