Crying and makeup

Crying and makeup

Ok, so I still tear up sometimes when I look at my ring, I cry when we listen to the song we are dancing our first dance two - I am going to be a wreck on my wedding day!!!

I'm wondering now if I should bother having my makeup done, or if I should just do my own because I'll have to keep retouching it all night (after cry breaks, that is)

Girls that cry - what are you doing? How are you going to keep your eyes from getting red, your nose from swelling, and your makeup from running all over your face?

Re: Crying and makeup

i am not a cryer - but i would definitely suggest waterproof mascara and definietly bring a press powder to keep your face make-up from getting streak marks....

and i would tell the make-up artist that you cry - she may make the extra effort to make sure you look perfect even through the tears...

and - have a stiff shot of something before you head down the aisle - it will calm your nerves and probably your tear ducts............

good luck.....

I'm doing my own makeup, just because i like to.
But i HIGHLY recommned the Lancome waterproof eyeliner.......it never runs.

Oh I cried ALL DAY! From before my make-up was put on (so I had huge bags and was very puffy) to after the speeches and dances...my make-up stood on all night! However, because I'm a crier I purchased clear mascara and used that instead since I didn't want t look like a racoon. I definitely think you should have your make-up professionally done and I recommend my girl. You need a good foundation...there are pictures in my review...

I cry all the time...especially at weddings. (I can just imagine how I'll be at my own!!) I had my makeup trial the morning of one of my friends weddings. I cried at church...I cried when they danced their first dance....I cried during the mother/son and father/daughter dance....and my makeup was still perfect at the end of the night. I think you'll be fine.

I cried a little bit and I was fine too, just make sure you have water proof mascara on and powder with you to retouch if you need it.

Get TRULY waterproof mascara, the kind you have to use eye make-up remover for-not the soap and water washable kind. It will stay on. They also make waterproof eyeliners and eyeshadows. If your using an artist they should know what they're doing and use the right products but you can find products that will last if you plan on doing your own just as easily.

I like Lancome waterproof eyeliners and mascaras. I also like their eyeshadow base (goes under the shadow to make it stay) called AQUATIQUE Waterproof EyeColour Base.

Hmmm...waterproof eye makeup is a good idea. I just thought of something though: when you go for your makeup trial, spend the rest of the night watching really sad movies to make yourself cry, and see how the makeup holds up. Good excuse for a girly night!

I was fine right up until the moment I crossed the bridge with my father. Then I started bawling!!!!!!!! My makeup was fine. Oksana did it. I don't know what kind of mascara she used but my makeup didn't budge the whole night!

That is so funny! But it's a great idea!

I'm a huge crybaby and was one on my wedding day...I had MAC do my makeup...thanks to my dad my tears remained in shimmer state all day long until my dance with my dad when the dam broke...i never retouched my makeup the entire day!! I'm still shocked over that one!!

I have actually been stressing over this. I always cry at weddings and plan to spend my wedding day doing just that. But my trial makeup was great and I will have to touch up regularly but i can say that the red nose is making me nervous. all this money for pics and i will be looking like rudolph!
