Crying in public is....
embarrassing to say the very least but that is how I ended my day. Crying to an uncaring soul at Penn Station.
Stress at work finally erupted into the following scene....
Its 835pm and I arrive at Penn Station after a long day of work which was spent traveling around the city looking for event venues in a blizzard, followed by our email and file server going down. Great.
I just want to go home, drink some vino and stuff my face with the brownies I made last night instead of eating dinner.
I buy my monthly from the ticket machine yet at the end of my transaction no ticket is given just a recipet -NO TICKET!!! WHAT - I franticly wave for help and no one comes to my resuce!?!?!
I take my receipt to the info booth with wild eyes and sad motions explainging my plight. The LIRR employee tells my rudely you need to fill out a credit form and buy another ticket- UNJUST - I JUST BOUGHT ONE AND YOUR DUMB MACHINE DIDNT GIVE IT TO ME. We argue a bit about how its unfair and then it happens - I started to cry the stress of the day just comes pouring out....LOSER.
Then it happened to someone else and we joined forces and wait for someone to open the machine to resuce our tickets. We end up making friends with a NYPD officer who noticed our tickets jammed and was able to pull them out!!!
SO HAPPY - I did not have to just pay for two LIRR monthly tickets...
Sorry this is long and I am sure no one cares...just needed to share....
