Culture Club?

Culture Club?

So, we are planning my 'girlie night'....feels funny calling it a bachelorette party when I am old & have a house, 2 kids, etc....

I mentioned Culture Club to one of my friends, and she heard not so good things....what is your opinion of the place?

Culture Club is VERY hit or miss nowadays. I used to go there a few times a year in my 'younger' (21-25) days and always had a great time. The past few times I've been there it's been terrible. The music is not as good, and the people that go there are.....interesting. It is a very popular place for bachelorette parties though!

If you want to dance without it being to clubby it would work. It all depends on what type of night you want. I know many girls who have gone and had a great time.

why don't you try the awesome 80's prom? I went for a party and we had SUCH a good time. Plus, you get into Webster Hall after for free. I think they have a deal now where you can have open bar for your party, too.

i have been to webster hall on a night after a b-party was over, and the girls stayed after...it seemed like they were having a LOT of fun!!

I've done both the Culture Club and the Awesome 80's Prom. The prom is definitely a blast. I love the culture club too but it gets really hot in there. I always have fun though. I highly recommend the Prom though...check it out!

I've been to Culture Club and I loved it. It's all 80's music The atmosphere is fun (flourescent pac-man's alll over the walls) and it's just an overall great time. We did bottle service which came out to something like $40/pp (it was 5 of us girls and one big bottle of absolute + mixers) it was WELL worth it. That $40 was enough for all of us to get wasted. You get to stay in the little roped offf vip section so when it gets packed you still have your own section to dance and have a great time without being squished. Plus the bouncer who was working the vip section at the time hooked us up hardcore!!!!

I went to the culture club for a bachelorette party and hated it. It was way too crowded and hot and it was all bachelorette parties and skeevy guys trying to hit on the girls in the bachelorette parties. Gross. I was so disappointed too because I had been wanting to go for years!

It depends on what you're looking for. I love the culture club. They have 80's music downstairs and I think music from the 90's upstairs. Anytime I've been there it hasnt' been too crowded but that also depends on your idea of crowded. I think it's a good time. If you go, though, put your group on the guest list as a bachelorette party. You get in for free and everyone else gets reduced admission before 11

I used to go to culture club all the time, and i loved it...We always had a great time when we went...Everyone was there just to have a good time, which was a nice break from all the trendy clubs where everyone is too busy with their noses in the air.

I havent been there in a while though

I think it's okay, but it's really the crowd you're with that makes it more fun. We were there for my friend's 30th with a whole big group of friends and had a blast. Sure it's cheesy, but that's what it's all about.
It's you're bachlorette party so you'll have fun no matter where you go as long as you're with your friends drinking and dancing.

I had the same experience the last time I was there, it's gotten more crowded too since they closed Polyesthers.

I have fun when I'm there b/c I love 80s music, and Nirvana upstairs plays great 90s and today songs. BUT, every fifth girl (okay so I exaggerate a little) is wearing a veil. It's a bachelorette bonanza.

I went to the CC about a year ago for my friends BP and we had a good time. I don't know if it is something I would die to go back to, but if another one of my friends had her BP there I would not mind going again. We had a good time. It wasn't my favorite place, but it was definitely still fun.

I heard great things about the 80's Prom though. I have never been there, but I heard great thing.
