I had always planned to have cupcakes as my wedding cake, but now I'm debating. You can't have filling with your cupcakes, and a fruit filling would be nice. However, I was also planning on having cupcakes as the favors. I was going to get some take-home boxes and have people take a cupcake home with them as a favor (since people are usually full by the time the cake rolls around). Thoughts? Personal experience? Cake or cupcakes?

I love the way the cupcakes look set up as a wedding cake, but if you are giving them as favors I would do a traditional cake for the reception JMO

this is my dream!!!!!!! it wont fly for the wedding but I think my mom is getting it for me for my shower - hopefullly all pink!!

i wanted a cupcake wedding cake soooooooo bad. i even remember posting about it when i first came on liw. fh hated the idea!!!! i was so pissed.
i told my moh/sis that since i couldnt have it for my wedding please try to have it for my shower. we shall see if my wish come true.
cupcakes can have fillings. i now crumbs does. oh and when i make cupcakes i use a piping tool and fill the cupcake with any filling i want

ITA. You could have a 'Cupcake Tree' centered on the favor table with the boxes surrounding it.
