Okay guys, I need to know!!! I'm not engaged just yet, I know it's coming very very soon though.




What are some of the signs that your guy was ready to propose? We've looked @ rings and have been dating for a couple of years. Now with Xmas and New Years coming I'm thinking it's coming.

Of course I want it to be a surprise but I'm getting excited!!!!!!

Did you guys notice your boyfriend at the time acting strange?

a picnic on the beach...how cute. was that an obvious give-a-way for you or have you done that before?

I don't want to know the when and where, I just want to know when to get my nails done hahahahahha.

I'm having surgery in a week and I'll be out of comission for at least a good week after that.

We have done lunch at the beach when we were planning on spending the day there. That day we werent planning on going to the beach and when FH picked me up he said that he planned a picinic at the beach. I knew right away! He ended up proposing after we took a walk around the beach after we ate. Everyone was surprised he had proposed that day. He hadn't told anyone that he was going to do it that day (inculding his mom) lol

I hope it happens for you over the holidays!

I know my Mom keeps asking me when when when??!!! I don't know who's more anxious, her or me lol.




She keeps telling me that he better let her know when he plans on doing it so she can be ready to celebrate. Eeeek I'm so nervous, I'll keep you posted

i knew that a proposal would be happening soon, but had NO clue that it would happen when it did.

in the picture, you can see how surprised i was (i had just realized the crowd that had gathered around us). the funniest thing is - for whatever reason - i ended up getting down on MY knees too!!! :-P

I don't want to rush it and I definitely don't want to ruin it but he has said in the past that he wouldn't want to do it on a holiday.

The day FH proposed I knew it was coming. He was acting very strange that day. He was also planning out my whole day (which he NEVER does). He told me that he wanted to have a picnic at the beach and once he told me that I was expecting it to happen. It was a very sweet proposal and even though I knew it still didn't take away from our special moment.

i think it's hard to not get excited around a holiday, anniversary, b-day, etc. especially if you know that you'll be getting engaged soon. one thing i can advise you not to do, though, is to get upset with your guy if he doesn't propose on a night that you think he might. if you do that, then it'll overshadow all the enjoyable moments of the date that you just had. my friend used to do this, and i just didn't think it was fair to her boyfriend.

I've also been lurking around while anxiously waiting for my SO to propose...I have a feeling it's coming soon and am super excited/nervous!!!! We have an anniversary coming up as well as the holidays so I hope he doesn't torture me until after the new year

I found a business card in FH's wallet from the engagement ring store about a month before, but I really truely didn't think he bought something, I just figured he had popped in there bc when he was waiting for his car to be fixed next door. The day it happened I has NO clue, but... as we were walking to the beach i checked out his back pockets for a ring box and there was none, I have no idea why I did that. But he had the ring in his front pocket!

He had a hidden photographer on the beach and everything, I had no clue!

I know exactly what you mean by 'torturing' you till after New Years. I think Xmas might be to obvious for him but in a funny but annoying way my mother is like Ohhh if he doesn't do it by the New Year he'll never do it.

Ughhhh, Mothers can be such pains in the a**'s sometimes...you would think it was here getting engaged.

I've done that a few times, I've checked his pockets for the outline of a ring, lol.

FH was acting very much on edge! But we had been in the car all day on a road trip, so I just kept asking him to please calm down- he was making me nervous!

I totally did not suspect a proposal, though! I was definitely surprised!

Do not try to figure it out! If you think it will happen and it doesn't you will be let down.. You know he is the one and that he is going to ask you. So let him do it!!!! The best part about when he asked me was that he got me so good. I also knew it was coming and I figured I would figure it out, but I didn't and I am so happy I didn't.. Trust him! And stop stressing... As for your nails make sure they are always done!
