curious about readings

How many do you have? Who does them? Should it be an even amount from brides' side and grooms' side?? Where are some good places to find awesome readings??

We're having 2 readers and they are both our Aunts who are also our Godmothers.

We're choosing our readings from the book, Together For Life.

We're choosing our two readings from Together For Life book for our aunts to read. We are also having the Prayer of the Faithful stated by my best friend.

My pastor is going to give me the book when we meet with him again next month.

Re: curious about readings

we decided to only have 1 reader (not sure how many readings he will do (1 maybe 2). He's a good friend of FH (since we kept BP to only family ('cept **** BIL, I don't want in it), we felt he should play a role in ceremony.

Re: curious about readings

We are doing two small readings, and they are both from my side. I asked two girls that I would ahve liked to be my BM, but didn't want to make it uneven.

My FI's sister are going to do the readings. I figured since his family lives in Ireland and were not involved in the planning of the wedding-the least I could do is have them do readings. That way his family feels more involved and FI is happy.

My SIL in my MOH, and my niece and nephew are the FG and RB. So my family is already involved. One of my brothers will do Proayer of Faithful.

I think its a nice way to have a special person in your ceremony, if they are not in the BP..

I didn't have any readers...but make sure you know of their religious affiliation before asking them to do a reading...especially if its a religious reading
