I have very curly hair and want to wear it down for my wedding. Anyone have any ideas on how to have it styled? I was thinking half-up, half down with a tiara and a detachable veil. What do you think? Thanks!!!

I have naturally curly hair too... I am growing my hair out now,.both color and length and will be having it all pulled back and have curls hang like a ponytail.. it sounds retarded.. maybe I can find a pic lol I'll probably need extensions though.

MarcellaBella- your style sounds nice! I have shoulder-length hair, but I have until May 2004 to grow it. But if you know curly hair, it will probably grow only an inch by then (at least mine will!)

My hair grows like an inch a month!! I was stupid enough to cut it 3 days after getting engaged..and I cut it up to my chin!!!
and that was in June.. now my hair is a lil passed my shoulders...

I have long, VERY curly hair and I am NOT leaving it out. I'm blow drying it and it's going in an up-do. Good luck ladies

I have long natural curly hair and I wore my hair half up and half down with a Tiara on top and a veil in the back. If I ever getting around to scanning some pics I could show you

I have curly hair too. I will also have an updo(1/2 up 1/2 down) because I don't trust aug weather. MarcellaBella, how did you get your hair to stay so straight in your profile picture?

Great thread! I am just like you Marcella! I chopped my hair off in layers in November of last year and now its growing out and I look like a wild woman! I want to have most of it up and curls coming down the sides sort of like a ponytail I guess and curls coming down my back. I am in the works of getting the picture sent to me. Once I get it I will post it for you.

Betty, I use a really great brush to blow dry my hair.. that's how I get it so straight.. and after having it done for so long, the curl has straightened out somewhat..

MarcellaBella. I straighten my hair every day too. It's thin so it's really easy but if I put it back like yours I get all these flyaway strands It looks nice!!

Latina your hair looks great! My hair is not as long, actually I'm thinking that it won't grow too much by the time of my wedding based on past experience (I used to have it very short like a buzz cut when I was a teenager and it took 10 years+ until it got to about shoulder length!) I actually get my hair straightened sort of (I go & get it done every 6 months) so that I have lose curls and not the tight, frizzy curls that I would normally have. But that style would be the kind that I was initially thinking of.

I have my hir straightened out all the time but it is hard to deal with my curls. So I decided for the wedding to leave my curls since nobody hardly sees me with them. I told my stylist what I wanted and thats what she did. For the wedding it came out even better than those pictures show.
