Curly Hair...the CURLENING

Curly Hair...the CURLENING

If you could all cast your memories back to a few weeks ago when I was doing battle with the gods of haircare, you will all be delighted ti find out that there has been significant progress made.

I have offcially embraced my inner curl! I am being drawn into the Cult of the Curly-Haired Goddess. No longer do I resemble a little brunette traffic cone, nor is my hair crispy with products. I have discovered that one must not break the spirit of curly hair, but foster its growth. One can never tame what is wild at root.

So my curls are soft and slightly unruly, with volume at the crown and defined waves and gentle ringlets all over. It is the hair I always wanted but never believed I deserved.

I tell you this now, women of all hair types, the hair of your dreams can be yours!

I'm just amped because I'm having a really good hair week!

Wendy, I'm, what is commonly known as, a luddite! I hate a fear technology, just like the Unabomber. Also, Mr Boots lost the cord for the digital camera so he can't transfer pictures onto the computer. He's getting one tonight and then there will be pictures of monkeys and cute shoes and Sammy and my head galore!! I hope.

Janice... I'm using the Redken Fresh Curls line... shampoo, conditioner, leave-in treatment and spray gel.

I know, I know!

But I'm also really not photogenic and I've got a crooked smile, so I tend to take cover when the camera comes out! That's why I hide behind my writings!

I'm using the Fresh Curls shampoo and conditioner. My aunt, who is a hairdresser said when you put the conditioner in you should have your head flipped over.

Seems to be working for me.

Do you like the spray gel? I have been looking for a good product

So it should be applied to the roots? Interesting, I'll have to field test this theory!

The spray gel is pretty good, but I use it very sparingly. I find that if I use too much I get a slightly musty smell (not nearly as bad as that BedHead crap, but a noticeable aroma!)

She told me not to apply it to the roots, but that is were I am the frizziest, so I do a little.

Does the spray gel make your hair look wet or feel crunchy?

I have been using Citri-Shine curling creme and its okay, looking to try out a few different things

Okay, NOT on the roots!

if you just use a couple of spritzes, the gel is great. I overindulged one day and had stiff hair. It looked like poo!
