Current Obsession-Royal Blue Glitter Shoes

Hey there!

My current obsession is royal blue glitter shoes

I want them to look like Dorothy's Ruby Slippers but in royal blue instead

I REFUSE to pay over $100 for them so I was thinking about DIYing it...

Anyone have any experience with making glitter shoes or anything glittered?

I actually did this for new years one year!! I bought a $10.00 clearance pair of pumps, fine silver martha stewart glitter in a big tube from michaels & modge podge... modge podged the shoes and while they were still wet i covered them in glitter.. let it set overnight.. then modge podged over the glitter and let that dry.. any spots that looked like I missed I went over once again with the modge podge and glitter.

The only problem is that it was a PAIN! Glitter everywhere.. and I was finding it all over the place for weeks and months.. make sure you put tissues or paper towels IN the shoe so you dont have glittery feet

If you cant find them for a decent price making them is a good idea.. just be cautious haha

used this to make for a NYE party, some of the glitter came off because I stepped in water, so in hindsight I probably would have sprayed it with a clear sealant. good luck!
