Any body planning on buying or possibly having a ring custom made for you so the band can fit nicely on your finger with your E-ring?
Or are you considering to rather wear your E-ring on your right and a straight band on your left like I've seen other married women do?
Any pics?
thanks...

Re: Curved wedding bands
Everyone said my ring really needed a curved band but I decided I wanted to option to wear it alone or apart, I basically alternate days--today I'm wearing it separately.
Here's a pic of the rings together, I think it still looks good!

thats just what mine would be like! not at all like i'm complaining, but my e-ring is too big to wear with another ring unless i get a curved band, which i don't want.
i'd love to wear them tog, but i may just have to move the e-ring to my right hand and then get a super blinged out band :)

Re: Curved wedding bands
I would opt for a ring that has no curve and wear them separately. There may be times where you just want to wear the wedding band and not the engagement ring- in that case I personally dont like the way the curved band looks by itself. I didnt think I was going to be able to find a ring to go with my e-ring, but I had a great jeweler and he was able to make suggestions and i found something that complements my ring without a curve. We went to David S- located in Manhattan on Fifth Ave.

Re: Curved wedding bands
Im wearing mine on a separate hand because I feel that it takes away from the engagement ring

Re: Curved wedding bands
i need to find/post a pic. but you can get a curved e-ring that still looks good separately!!!
actually. ok, so i said mine was made. but that was my goal. it needed to look good on its own. AND fit perfectly with my e-ring.
i wound up going for a cross-over look, which most jewelry stores told me 'o no, that is not a wedding band!!' which i replied 'um thanks..' losers!
ok. ill have to post a pic tonight so you guys see what im talking about.

Re: Curved wedding bands
i chose a wide pave band that matches in appearance but doesn't fit together. I'm wearing them separately.

Re: Curved wedding bands
I thought I was going to need one with a cut in it to sit properly with my e-ring, but I was able to find one that was regular and sits perfectly with it. My e-ring is semi-raised so the wedding band actually sits under it.

Re: Curved wedding bands
I had mine custom made by Elsa's. I had a good experience with them and my ring is beautiful exactly what I wanted.

Re: Curved wedding bands
I didn't want to get a curved band--I want to have the option of wearing the band alone. So I do plan to wear my e-ring and band on separate hands.

Re: Curved wedding bands
I am wearing them on each of my ring fingers, my e-ring is way to chunky

Re: Curved wedding bands
My friend got one made by Good old gold in massapequa. it's perfect. I'm getting a curved band, but FH is also going to buy me a straight one so i can wear it alone if i want

Re: Curved wedding bands
PS - i like the idea of wearing it on your left hand... someone once told me that you only wear the ring on your right hand if you're separated...

Re: Curved wedding bands
okay. so i said id post a pic of my wedding band. never got to my computer to upload pro-pics, but i took pics w my cell phone
as you can see, the wedding band has a dip, so that the e-ring fits flush against it
BUT it is not a standard curved band....instead it is a 'cross over' design. which (i think) also looks good on its own!
i hope this idea helps someone who is looking for a variation of the curved design. also, for those that like BLING, you can get the crossover look with diamonds. they sell them in stores. i just wanted a more simple look to really accentuate my e-ring
