CURVES GRIPE

CURVES GRIPE

Am I the only one having a reverse effect from curves? I haven't been measured (been a member for over one month, but don't want to hear what I already know) but my scale keeps going up and I actually think my pants size has INCREASED.

I am a little confused since I thought you were supposed to LOSE inches, not gain them!

So here I am with a one year membership and inches to gain- oops I mean lose

Hey

My first month at curves - i gained and i was furious! But the 2nd and 3rd month i started to lose, the first month I think i gained muscle weight and my body was adjusting. Remember that muscle weighs more than fat so you may be losing fat and gaining muscle. I get measured on the 12th and I feel like i lost more. (I hope!!) So far I have lost 5 lbs and 14 inches. Wait til you get measured, you probably lost some inches but don't be surprised if the pounds didn't go down just yet. But please trust me - they will!!

what are you eating hun? have you been keeping a journal?

technically, curves and programs like that are generally for people who aren't very familiar with working out and how to use certain machines and such.. you should really get yourself to a reg. gym after you get passed the beginner's stage...

Re: CURVES GRIPE

I too had a curves gripe - NOTHING fits, I'm huge and the workout was really bothering my back and my knees. So I have gone back to Lucille Roberts to my old routine and feel better already. Its been too nice to go to the gym so I've been walking around my neighborhood after work.

Just wanted to let you know that you aren't the only one who Curves had a reverse effect on!!!

I'm a member at curves and i love it!! I guess it depends on how hard you work out, i know they tell u to go around 2 1/2 times but i go 3-to 4 times around! I feel like i get a better work out, eating also has a big effect on working out too! I cut out my carb intake and noticed results!! I would give curves a chance!!

This girl my FH works with goes to curves, but yet eats like a pig like huge cheeseburgers and fries and stuff (at least for lunch when he sees her). And she'll probably wonder why shes not losing anything... people like that crack me up!!

I am not saying this is your problem. I will just say what I see at the curves I go to.

Now the workout is 30 minutes. Its suppose to be 30 minutes of intense workout. Now I see women come up in there with their friends and they are working out and just talking and laughing and having a good a ole time. HELLO you are suppose to WORKOUT.

Your goal is to burn calories. If you are not sweating and have to feel the urge to really push yourself when you workout to finish you are wasting your time.

TRACYG - thats my issue I go to Curves 5 days a week but before I go I can't stop eatting. Granted I am still breastfeeding so I need the extra calories to begin with but now since I am working out again I need xtra calories for that too... I feel like a cow because of it. I know I should be eatting healthy things but whenever I try that I dont get full and I eat 10x more healthy things than I would if it was cr*p... I dont know what to do.
