Did anyone have a custom dress made? I need help finding someone to possibly take my mothers gown and make a cocktail dress for me out of it. Any suggestions?
I would just bring it to a seamstress in a local Dry Cleaners that you go to. Most of them are very very experienced seamstresses and will do an amazing job.
Actually I wouldnt go to a regular cleaners with that because you need someone whose specializes in that type of thing. I know 2 places that do customized dresses, dont know if they work on outside stuff but they are in Brooklyn.
I got a customized dress for my wedding. I worked with April Designs, Ebay and worked with the tailor Jeff Liu. He was amazing! Pics are found in my album- For Sale. He made a replica of the Eve of Milady gown from 06 collection, a strapless ballgown with gold embroidery and the beading and details looked gorgeous! I was so glad, I saved so much and not have to fork 1K for a wedding gown. Contact info can be found on my wedding review.
