Hi Everyone! I am new to this site, but have found it extremely useful... Has anyone dealt with Elsa Jewelers? I have an unusual e-ring, and need a custom ring...any suggestions before I go? Thanks!

They are fantastic, but dont ask for a price because they wont give you one. That is my only pet peeve about them. I understand its custom so they dont know the weight of the diamond, but I feel like that could have given me some sort of price range instead of me giving it to them.
But, so far their work has been great! I think my ring will be finished this week or next week

We shopped around a lot for my band because I wanted a combination of a few different features that only existed separately in three different bands. I also knew exactly what I wanted.
I sat with Elsa and at the time her price was double the $$$$ for half of the weight of a diamond eternity band.
I wound up going with another jeweler who was recommended to me by a co-worker. I got exactly what I wanted in less than two weeks (custom eternity band with hand engraving on the sides of the ring) and it was a very reasonable price.
I love my jeweler and wish I coud buy more from him.

I have heard mixed reviews about them.
IMO, we all live in NY which is 'jewelry HQ'. there's no reason to pay retail unless you want to.
ETA: just for an example... FH and I went to a jewelry shop in Sayville (name withheld) yesterday and I spotted my exact wedding band that I am having made by the jeweler that my FH got my e-ring from.
It was the exact same carat weight, clarity and in platinum too... this ring was 3 times more than we are paying for mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to try REALLY hard to keep a poker face when she told me the price!

eh.
She does a nice job with jewelry and she and her husband are very pleasant people throught the process. But, she is expensive and the other staff members are lacking in customer service skills. And, when we went back looking for a 'budget' wedding band to match the custom e-ring that she made, she was unable to work with my budget.
So, that pissed of my DH because all throughout the e-ring process, she 'guaranteed' that she could make a wedding band to match...but, never mentioned that we'd need to cough up another $3,000 for that.

I guess that's why on Sat. they asked us what we were looking for. FH got so annoyed so we just left.
We were going to ask her if she sold umbrellas.

Help. I gave her a deposit.
I went today to try the wax mold and she is charging me 4800 for the wedding band and engagement rings. Who did you use and what are the mixed reviews you have heard

Not sure how often she comes on the boards anymore, but you can FM Aimerliny. She and DH both had custom rings from Elsa and were very happy.
Or you can check out her review on the Review Board. Elsa is listed on there.

I had my diamond wedding band custom made there & was thrilled with it. We also got both of DH's rings there & in Jan I got a plain band for work because I lost a diamond from wedding band at work. (new job I bang my hands alot) We worked mostly with Stefan. He is very nice.

Our bands are being custom made and I have been nothing short of thrilled with the work they are doing . . . My band is done and is gorgeous. They gave us an approximate cost for the bands when we went for a quote. Everyone like different places for different reasons. They are great people and wonderful to work with, and they were able to make the rings we wanted to exact specifications- mine was part copied and part customized- Brian's looks like the Damiani ring (Brad Pitt's old wedding band.)
