can anyone recommend a place in Suffolk for custom framing that is reasonable?
our photographer was kind enough to give DH and I some 8x12 enlargements yesterday. Since this is an unusual size, we need to get them custom framed and matted. We went to AC Moore today and they wanted almost $90 for ONE picture! and that was with a 50% off discount! is that the going rate?

I had my diplomas done at Rogers' Framing in Northport many years ago. They were fantastic esp. about matching a frame to the style and colors in the diplomas. The diplomas still look like they were just done. I thought they were kind of expensive at the time, but I may have thought so because I was just out of school.
I want to take my Ketubah and some wedding photos to them very soon. They used to run coupons in Pennysaver but I have been looking and have seen none lately.
ETA I think that the price you got at AC Moore would be average for a photo of that size, but the price before you got 50% off is high.

yea, that's what I thought too! $165 for an 8x12? give me a break! just to frame it (without matting) would have been $50 and change, I might just do that. there are some other enlargements that I want to order from the photographer in 16x20, so I will just save the matting for those.

Try patchogue frames on montauk highway. Not sure of pricing but they were very helpful with something small i needed done around Christmas time.

Try Michaels, my mom has gotten a few things framed there and they've come out awesome. They usually have coupons in their ad in the Sunday paper.
