I am looking for vendors to look into. Already checking out Pippy Sweets and Evenstar which both seem great.
Definetely want something high quality with thick lined envelopes.
Thanks girls.

Re: CUSTOM INVITES
Pippy Sweets sent me a sample, and it was adorable, great stuff, and cheap!
But to me, I know the difference, and it looked a little cheap.
Really they were perfect invites, I mean people throw away invites after they look at them, but I still wanted .... something a little more
I'm actually designing my own.... still in progress...
I put up a post to get opinions, and now I think I'll be designing some else's for their 09 wedding... its more fun than I thought, so um maybe I'll start a biz ..
here's a preview of what I'm doing ..
Actually there will be 2 versions for my type A and type B guests lol! One will be letterpressed in that design, one will be pocketfold with glossy paper (it looks like a nightclub ad, but my type B guests like that aparently lol) you can do metallic paper
I also know a girl that will letterpress for me, if your into that

Re: CUSTOM INVITES
I wanted pictures of us when we were little printed on our invite. I went to a million different places before I found someone who knew exactly what I was talking about & had the patience to do exactly what I wanted without charging me a fortune for custom invites. Here's the website, her name is Lilli-she is really the best & i really went all over

Wow...I am surprised that you said her invites looked cheap!!!! We have been working with Diana and have been more than thrilled with her work. The samples sent during the process have been A1 condition even though they are not the finished product. We shopped at several places and saw absolutely no difference in quality. In fact, she is using the same exact paper and pocket that we had priced elsewhere. She has gone above and beyond to meet our expectations without raising her price for all the changes. If anyone is considering using her....please don't let this stop you from checking her out.

Re: CUSTOM INVITES
You should look into having a designer. I've seen great ones from Sonic Stef Designs.
Then if you're into letterpress, check into the cranky letterpress man or mercurio brothers.

Re: CUSTOM INVITES
We went to Papyrus in Roosevelt Field Mall. The invites came out Beautiful and they were just under $500. YAY!. Plus me & FH know that people are just going to through them away. But you would never imagine we spent that little.

Re: CUSTOM INVITES
We are getting ours from one of William Arthur's vendors. They have standard designs but do allow you to create custom designs. I think they charged us a small custom fee but it was like $30 or something. You could probably do this with most printers if you just ask.

hehe ... they inspired me :)
Its a good thing they wouldn't do anything for me with my requirements (2 languages) ... cause I don't think I would have bothered to do it myself otherwise.
