Georgette's. I think she's on route 107/Broadway in Hicksville.

Places I would try in NYC:

Ripplu (45th & 5th?)
Bra Tenders
Town Shop (upper west)
Orchard Corset Shop

Olga's on Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn.

I don't like Georgette's b/c she doesn't do alterations.

I'd suggest instead go to Mary's Corsettieres' in Woodbury. I'll get the address for you and the phone number.

THey are usually busy so go when they first open.

Here is the info to Mary Lerner if you don't find a closer place to your house...

Mary Lerner

That is the Oceanside location, if you call them they can give you the cedahurst number since that is closer to you...

Re: Custom Made Bra'ssss

I need someone to make me a short strapless bra only for the fact they need to sew the top of my dress to the bra bc I want straps cut off of it.
But I am scard the bra will make my boobies bc the focus of my dress..

Liz.. Call me with it. Aren't there places on Delancy Street?

And you HAVE to wear a bra? It is a strapless dress right? not form fitting enough? What about a strapless corset just to keep you in place?? I am sure you can get a demi cup so it is shorter.

I am cutting straps off..

So the dress won't lay right if I don't have the top stitched to something!

Re: Custom Made Bra'ssss

Ahh, ok, understood. Did you ask the people in the bridal store if they can pull it tighter under your arms so the top will lay properly? It is worth a shot to see what they say...

If not, I would go with a seamstress or one of the places mentioned above...

Good luck!!
