Is anyone making a custom drink for their reception?? i was thinking of doing it, anyone have any ideas?

i wanna do that- it seems fun... and they say you can make it in your colors- but my BM's are wearing yellow and i dont think a yellow drink will look very pretty.... I think you can ask your RH to make something special and then you guys can name it.
think about what you guys like- maybe pick your favorite drink- put alittle twist on it and name it something fun

uhm.. there's ALWAYS a pretty drink out there! How about.. Tequilla Sunrise? I don't know what they taste like.. but they are soo pretty.. and I think they are yellow and orangge!

I was out not too long ago and I tried this drink called a snowcone! I fell in love with it.. it was soooo good.. and it totally matches my colors and theme.. we are doing a winter wedding.. and the snowcone drink is pink on the bottom with blue on top and crushed ice in the middle. it's soooo good! Then it occured to me to have it as the wedding drink.. now i am just hoping they can make it for me. it was soooo good.. i got the recipe and directions. i hope it works out.

Shanskibop... what are some of the elements of your wedding? you should start thinking about drinks that match the colors, and the look and style of your wedding.. then go from there.

We had a drink called the Blue Barnacle...my nickname for my DH is Barnacle and we had a seashell/beach themed wedding There was a post on here this morning with a website that has drink recipes by color. I used barbug.com to find ours There's one for every theme and color, have fun!!!!!!!

my colors are burgandy and gold. i was thinking of doing a brides drink and a grooms drink...
maybe its corny, but i like the idea.
and have premium open bar, so the RH should'nt make me pay more to make these signature drinks right?

Usually as long as the RH has the liquor you want to use it won't be an extra cost

o thanks- i actually started looking last night and there are alot of drinks in yellow- that actually look pretty-who would have thunk it! LOL one that sounds good was watermelon lemonade and its garnished with a piece of watermelon- and my girls are holding pink flowers so i'm gonna have to make it and see if it tastes good!
