I just saw this on Rich Bride, Poor Bride and thought it would be a cute idea for a favor...especially for fall or winter brides.
The bride and groom got baby spruce trees (they were pretty small..maybe about 5-6 inches) and planted them in little pots to give to their guests as favors. They said that they only cost about $2 per tree.
Thought this was a really cute affordable favor idea that guests could then plant and enjoy for years to come!

aw, that is cute. I did something KIND of similar I guess. My wedding was last Christmas, so I had Bonsais for my favors (like little Christmas Trees) on the tables. I figured it was definitely unique and something that people could keep for a long time (so long as they water it. lol). I remember it smelling AWESOME too - just very festive. I can't remember exactly what mine cost though. Somewhere between $3-5 per person. You could look on my review for the details, but i got them at IMPERIAL BONSAI in Coram.
