Cute idea for E Party (Just wanted to share)
I just wanted to share with any of you who are having an engagement party what I did as sort of a sign-in/memento thingy. I'm sure others have done it, but I made up a big scrap book (one of the ones that have pages you can write on i.e. from Barnes and Noble) and I put pics of me and FH throughout the years (we have been together 11 years this past Sept). I only put 1-2 pics on each page with cute little embelishments around them and made sure that there was room for people to sign. I got different colored metallic acid free pens and enlisted my MOH and FSIL to pass the book around to guests to have them sign. People really seemed to enjoy the book b/c it had pics of us from high school in it. Plus it was so sweet to sit and read what everyone wrote afterwards. Sometimes at showers and weddings people rush to write their thoughts and u usually get the typical 'best wishes' and 'congrats', but b/c our party was at home and people were sitting around mingling, I felt like they actually took the time to write some thoughtful things. Anyhow, I just wanted to share, cuz I almost didn't do it b/c I felt like it might be too time consuming and I'm not that creative, but it really came out so nice and now we keep it on our coffee table!!!
