He's still having some problems and he's going back to the surgeon soon, but I had to share the story so I don't go insane......
When it was time for him to get dressed after surgery I started taking his clothes out so he could change. He held out his left ring finger to me. Since he couldn't speak and was so doped up I just ignored it and tried giving him his shirt to put on. He got angry and poked me with his finger. I asked 'Do you want to put on your wedding ring?' He smiled and nodded. That was the first thing he wanted put on.
