Cutest story from gown shopping...

I have a cold which doesn't make it any easier...
Anyway, had to share this story. I went gown shopping earlier yesterday with my sister and my 7 year old niece. My niece is OBSESSED with the wedding. I've never seen such a thing in my life. Even before we got engaged, she would talk about us getting married and what she wanted to do in the wedding. Every time I talk to her now, all she wants to do is tell me about the ideas she has for the wedding! (maybe she's influenced by her mom, who calls me and says, 'I'm exploding with ideas!!' haha) I have a Yankee theme, and she comes up with these all too cute and silly ideas for the kids. She's so funny!
Anyway, I had to give you a few anecdotes from shopping. I was saying to my sister and the saleswoman how frustrating gown shopping can be - you love this one, but then you try on another and you're not sure and you can try on a million and still not be sure. My niece says, in the sincerest of manners, 'I know how you feel! That's exactly how I feel when I try on Halloween costumes!'![]()
I would also ask her for thumbs up, thumbs down on certain dresses...one dress she actually did an 'in-the-middle' thumbs up- she put her thumbs up sign sideways...craked me up!!!
And the best of all, the one that made me want to cry. At the end of shopping, she comes up to me, and when she wants to say something really heartfelt and sweet, she always wants to whisper it to you. She whispers to me 'I want to tell you that you are the most beautiful girl in the world.' She MELTS me!!
And to think I have 2 other nieces and a nephew besides her! The stories will be ENDLESS!!![]()
