so fh and i have decided to only buy xmas gifts for
dads moms siblings (my sister, his bro) 4 nephews/nieces
how do we tell fh's uncles/aunts that we won't be buying anyone gifts? will they understand or will it start ?

My fh and I already dropped that bomb on all the relatives this past weekend. We decided if we do buy gifts for anyone it will be the children only. Most ppl should understand bc weddings are soo expensive but I would still purchase gifts for kiddies especially if you know your gonna see them. You can get some nice toys real cheap anyways.

I am sure they will understand let them know this year with the wedding you need trim your spending maybe you can just bake some goodies that is what I do for fh family we go up to his aunts every xmas after spending the morning with mine,I had to tell my family I usually spend alot but cannt this year my wedding is 2 mths after christmas!!!!!!!!!!

If you know you are going to see all the children then I would get them all a gift, otherwise no.

I would get for all 4 kids gifts! You can also get games for them as a family gift that they can all play together! or a movie!!

Just tell them its not in the budget with the wedding...thats what I did and they all understood.

I would get the kids if you are going to see them. You can get the 6y/o boy Lego racers $6.99. The girls there are so many things under $10.00 you can get. I would just let the adults know that you are just buying for the kids this year - after all Christmas is for kids (IMO)
