Its never happened to me, but it sounds perfectly normal to second-guess yourself, esp. when it comes to something big like the location of your wedding.

i know how you feel... don't get me wrong I LOVE our RH....but i really really really wanted to get married in the city but it was just so friggin expensive. I called a few places and I realized it wasnt going to work out...on LI I can get so much more for the money.

same here , only my RH is in Westchester
not only that I wanted to get married in Israel, but FH and then my parents and some of the family were against it. sometimes I still get very sad about not having my wedding where I grew up most of my life totally understand u!

I know how you feel because I felt like that too, but as the days pass, I get more and more excited about what we are planning.
I wanted to get married on the beach or in a garden, so my RH is waterfront and the Church has so much greenery and acres of land that I got pieces of everything I wanted in the end...
Hope you feel better!!

Re: Has this happened to anyone???
yea it happens to me all the time.. i'd loove to do a destination wedding.. but then i know my grandparents and a lot of my family wouldn't be there..
there's so many options for a wedding.. its natural to second guess it.. but you'll be super happy that day no matter where you're getting married.. i sometimes think it's still because we have so much time before the wedding..

Re: Has this happened to anyone???
This happens to me a lot! I always wanted to get married on the water, but I just keep reminding myself that we did a ton of research, and we are getting married at our first choice RH!! I get a little sad that the original vision of our wedding as a small, intimate affair has been lost, but we made our decisions all for good reasons. I'm sure you decided on your venue for lots of good reasons too.
When I hear about other venues I didn't get a chance to check out I get worried too. But I still know that our RH is the best place for us for many reasons. HTH.

I've felt like this a few times with the RH and the photog. But I would not change either; RH is great and my photog proved why I chose them at the e-pics session; they did a great job.

ITA!!! the part that bums me out the most is not getting married in the church i want. the church i love is in downtown brooklyn, and its just too much for our guests to go to both -- and traffic is too much to deal with....so we picked a church in LI.
we are fortunate enough to even find a church that would agree to marry non-parishioners (this was our first struggle of wedding planning!)
...but i still would love to get married at that Brooklyn church and then have ceremony in the city......

Same here about the church. FH's church has two aisles and I really wanted a center aisle but I knew it would be a tough search trying to find a church to marry us if we were not members. The church we really wanted was actually torn down =(

I am so sorry you are bummed out... I know that you have discussed before how you would have loved a destination wedding.

I know how you feel. I always wanted a destination wedding in the carribean but FH family flipped out when we presented them with the idea.

Re: Has this happened to anyone???
We are having a destination wedding but only because our families are very small. We are actually not having ANY guests.
All weddings involve some sacrifice however it should be well worth it in the end. You can always re-new your vows in Israel at some point.

I've never felt that way, but I think it is completely normal and that a lot of people feel like that at one point. I think it's very normal & human to wonder if 'the grass is greener on the other side'
