I want to include my Grandma, in my wedding, who has also passed away. I am going to have some photos of her put in beautiful frames and have some of them at the reception. I'm not familiar with the Westbury Manor but where we are having our reception, there are several different rooms we are using so I can choose where they can be displayed best. Maybe you could do something like that. You could also carry one of his belongings, something he gave you or a photo of him down the aisle with you. Some brides I know actually incorporated these items into their bouquets.

I recently lost my dad. I plan on putting my parents wedding photo on the cake table (along with FH's parents photo). I also plan on sewing my father's WW2 dog tag inside of my dress.

Here's a poem I included on the back of our program for my husband's dad and my grandma.

If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for us
Place them in our loved ones arms
And tell them they're from us
Tell them that we love them and miss them,
And when they turn to smile,
Place a kiss upon their cheek
And hold them for awhile.
Because remembering them is easy,
We do it every day,
But there's an ache within our hearts
Because we are missing them today.

My mother id deceased and I kept her chair empty (one on the aisle). When I walked up the aisle, I had a break away bokay and put a m iniature version of my bo-kay on her seat.

We went to a wedding where the bride's father had passed away and they lit a candle during the ceremony, then released doves outside the church in memory of him. It was beautiful and very touching.

I will include a memorial candle (with a special saying) for my mother that passed. The candle will burn throughout our entire ceremony and then throughout our entire reception on a special pedestal type candle holder.

I made a candle with a poem and my mom's name on it and placed it next to an 8X10 of her along with mom and dad's wedding picture.

I'm dedicating my mass to my mom and doing the memorial candle in the church. I was actually going to bring my mom her corsage at the cemetary on the morning of, but I love the idea of leaving a space empty for her and placing a bo-k there.
There's also a beautiful cong called Mama by IL DIVO that I am going to have dedicated to her during the reception and have my sister and I my mom's goddaughters dance to it with our spouses.

Sorry about your dad. My dad died almost 10 years ago. I plan on mentioning him during the mass during the intentions. Also, in lieu of favors, we are making a donation in his memory. I will have a framed photo of him (not sure if it will be family photo or of him & me, etc) with a note re: the favors on the table with the seating assignments.

I love the idea of the empty chair and placing something on his grave right before the wedding. Those are great ideas. Sorry for everyone's loss, I know our loved ones will be with us on our special day.
