I have heard that some guys have had their dad as their BM and I know some FH's here are doing this... my question is how are they exiting after the ceremony?
I suggested FH doing this awhile ago bc he likes his GM equally, but in the recessional the parents usually go after the BP, so if his dad leaves right after us I would picture him picking up his step-mom on the way out and I could picture my mom FLIPPING if FH's parents walked out right after us and before her and my dad....
Any thoughts or ideas??

Does your FH have a brother or close cousin that could escort his step mom, so as to avoid the problem?

Nope! Granted, the issue hasn't come up yet, but if FH does decide to do this (he hasn't made any decisions) I KNOW this will get discusses so I wanted to come up with a plan, but I don't know how other brides have done this

DH's dad was his BM. FIL walked MIL down the aisle on the way in and then stood w/ DH for the ceremony. FIL walked down with MOH's after ceremony. Mother & MIL walked back down together.

I think his dad should proceede out with the moh and should be announced in with his step mom. who ever walked his step mom down the aisle originally can walk the MOH into the hall. or if she is married or has a bf her significant other can walk her in.

FH's dad will walk with his step-mom in and then stand at the front... i suppose he still could walk out with the MOH, I just feel like they would ask well would he walk out with the girl 30 years his junior, or just pick up his wife on the way by...
