I'm happy to report that so far our trip to NC has been going very well! My dad, FH, me, FSIL, and FILs went out to dinner on Friday night and then back to the FILs place and he even got the otherwise VERY shy FFIL to open up a bit and talk by the end of the evening!!
It seems my dad also approves of NC and where I'll be living, which is somewhat of a relief. Not that I was going to change my plans if he didn't, but it's always better to know I've got my dad on board with my future plans!
Thanks to everyone who sent along good wishes before we left! We'll be driving back up to LI on Tuesday! Hopefully the weather won't stink so it won't take more than 9.5 hours (which is what the drive down took).

Hey Sandra! SO glad to hear all went well with the inlaws meeting!!!! I was BUGGIN over that, and we didn't have to drive 9.5 hours to do it, so props to you mama! Also glad dad likes your new area, that really helps a lot. I can understand you wanting him on board. Safe drive home girl!!
