Does anyone have a good song for the Daddy dance? My dad has mentioned a few times he wants to kinda break out into something fast. I mainly think this is b/c he doesn't want to cry like a baby which I'm sure will happen. I do have an older sister who is married now for 7 years but my dad and I have a different relationship then my sister did. Not that it was a bad one. I've been in the house longer too. We hung out a ton when my Mom was upstate for 3 years at my G~ma's bed side. So we've had a lot of bonding time. I'm a crier and I'd like to cry as little as possible on my wedding day! FH has already recommended we go with a makeup artist that will stay into the reception until I stop crying lol

My father chose this song, and it is certainly a tear jerker! I sob every time I hear it, and I have no idea how I'm going to get through the dance.

we're doing the hawaiin version of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow.' It was my dad's choice and I like it because it's not really sentimental (I'm a big sap), and it's fun. We're going to end with like 30 seconds of 'Under the Sea' from The Little Mermaid because we used to dance to that when I was little.

I Love that version! It's a great new twist. and i LOVE the Little Mermaid! I was obsessed with that...maybe I still am. I was Ariel in 2 school plays. My parents made me wait until we went to Disney World for the first and only time to buy me the movie....you just gave me a good idea. I'm going to see if there's a song on there I can use.

My dad is doin michele my Bell , by the Beatles.. he used to sing to me when i was a baby.. I dont love it so hopefully we can play like 2 versus and then break into something else, lol

If you dont' want a tear jerker what about Father/Daughter by Paul Simone. It is a little more upbeat, sentimental but not teary. My sister used it.

We are dancing to Daddy's Angel. He always called me his pink angel so it's perfect. I just have to make sure that I have a lot of tissues...it's a real tear jerker.
