dance

fh's mom passed away a little over 4.5 yrs ago, at the wedding he is going to dance with his aunt and grandma. i am obv gonna dance with my dad but i alwayss wanted to dance with my mom, im veryy close to both of my parents. do u think that would be inappropriate? i always wanted to dance with my mom to mariah carey's hero.

eta: not saying this wouldnt make them any less close, but he grew up living with only his father. also, he wants me to dance with my mom but i still feel bad.

I really want to have a mother daughter dance too. I think it would be fine. It won't take away from his dance. And plus, I think your mom will feel really special and will love it.

My friend just did this at her wedding. Her mom has cancer, so thats why, but I thought it was very nice. I think you could do it just because you love your mother. You don't have to have a sad reason.

Absolutely not I have been to a ton of weddings where they danced with the Mom as well. It is common these days.

My cousins Mother (My Aunt) beat Breast Cancer so she danced with her mother as well!

Re: dance

Idk if this helps, but I'm on the opposite end and I can give u my opinion. My dad passed this past February and FH feels guilty about dancing with his mother. Im going to dance with my sister in place of the father/daughter. Anyways, after losing my dad if anything I realize the importance of the dances. I want even more for FH to dance with his mom bc in this life we're guaranteed nothing. So take every moment you can to make times special with your loved ones. I hope you have a beautiful dance with your mom.
