Dance Classes

Is anyone taking classes for their first dance? If so, where/with who and how much?

We met with John yesterday for our first lesson and he was great! I won a gift card for 2 lessons from the bridal shower, I was just wondering who else took classes and what packages they got since we didn't discuss pricing yet since we got 2 free lessons.

We are taking lessons at Starlight Dance in NHP right by my house. They have been great. We bought a 10 pack of private lessons. I think it was $900.
FH is so nervous about the first dance so we are taking a lot of lessons and choreographing a dance to our song.

What dance did u pick?

We are doing a Rumba, our song, which is a surprise (FH doesn't want anyone to know but I can tell my LIW girls) is Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden.

We are taking lessons at Dance Magic Ball Room in Saint James! No Contract and it is Pay as you go the lessons are $75 each.

fox trot ..... He really is a great instructor and very affordable.... we did our 2 free and then 3 paid. Our last lesson was at CB

Thats the same one we are starting to learn...I felt like I had two left feet the first lesson...lol.

Funny I took dance in HS, but never Fox Trot....LOL

We're taking private lessons at LI Dance Fitness - normally I go there for zumba and pole dancing - I approached the owner, Lauren, about doing dance lessons (because once a week they have couple's nights but those were full )

Anyways... She is super sweet and was able to work with our budget and time frame. There are a few packages that you are able to choose from and the price varies according to each one. The one that worked best for us was four 1 hour long private lessons, fully choreographed/customized routine, a CD with music on it to practice our 'moves' with and a fully edited version of our first song (which is actually two different songs hehehe, so if you ladies need a mix or two, she's totally capable of doing that =] )
