dance for or with my mom

my mom is terminally ill and i want to honor her by playing a song for her ( wind beneath my wings)
but im not sure if i should only because
A- it would be too too sad ( everybody knows her condition)
b-the mood would change- people would be crying not having a good time
c- my mom may not want to dance with me (embarrassed)

d- it might look funny for us to be on the dance floor together- not traditional and our family is VERY
tradtional

also my other option is to play this song and make an annoucement as a dedication and dance with my little bro?

what do guys think??

Honestly, I think it's beautiful.. Quite frankly, I feel that any song you play will be sad, being that it's a tribute to your mother who is ill, so I say go for it.. that's a beautiful song.. and you're mother will be honored..

I think that is a beautiful idea. The song is a perfect choice. It may be upsetting for the moment, but what a beautiful memory you will alway's have. I say go for it!!

If your mom is very embarrassed about the dance, then a dedication is a great idea also. Good luck with your planning!!

I agree, even if she doesnt want to dance, that's only a part of it, just playing the song and telling everyone you love and appreciate her is beautiful.

Maybe instead of tossing your bouquet you could present it to your mom and dedicate the song to her while you walk to the center of the dance floor and hand it to her.
