Dance lesson prices?

Dance lesson prices?

I was just wondering if you would mind telling me how much you paid/are paying for dance lessons for you and FH. We are thinking about doing it and got a quote from someone that does it out of their home and I want to see if it is comparable to what other people have done.
Thanks

Just pick up a copy of D Kwon's Dance Moves and you'll be all set.

In all honesty, dancing is more practice than anything. Just listen to the beat and follow it, it's kind of easy and a waste of money, IMHO.

I am going to look into A. Murray Schools for the ballroom (etc). But if you're looking for salsa etc, there al a few clubs in the city that give lessons before the night starts! Let me know if you need more info.....

I am curious also. We are thinking of taking lessons also, but have not started pricing yet. Also where is a good place to take them and for about how long is a good enough time?

I paid $368 for four private lessons and one group lesson from Arthur Murray. They have several packages to choose from. They also have a wedding package available for 198 and they will choreograph your first dance. Even if we don't wow 'em at our reception, I really enjoyed the lessons, they're fun and great exercise! I wish I could afford to keep going.

Check out Dance Obsession in Farmingdale.
I sound like a broken record b/c I've mentioned them so many times, but it's a great place. (They were just on News 12).
We took lessons for our Wedding in November & are still taking them! (Though not as frequently).
I would start AT LEAST a few months before the Wedding if you want a full, choreographed, graceful first dance.

ETA: We pay around $550-600 (though don't quote me) for 10 Private Lessons. (Hour long).
