We just started lessons too at Arthur Murray in Dallas. It is a great way to spend time with your fiancee and it is special when you realize you are practicing for your wedding day!!

We found an adult continuing ed program. Under $100 for both of us for eight 1 1/2 hour lessons. The last one of which is this coming Monday. Some places charge as much as $500. All depends on what you're looking for.

I just wanted to make sure FH didn't feel like an idiot on the dance floor. He is now having so much fun he wants to continue right up to the wedding and beyond!!

We took lessons at Ballroom Dance of Huntington. For the most part we had fun. But boy, did we have some arguments too!! But it taught us to better communicate with one another, so all and all it was very good!

Have fun!!!

i agree!!! we fought a ton! sometimes we would walk into a lesson mad at each other (about wedding garbage), then the dancing helped us to make up toooo..
its a rewarding experience

We had our first lesson Wed in West Islip. We got the pre-wedding package for 5 1/2 hour private lessons & then 6(?) or 5 group lessons for $100. Awesome price & the instructors rock.

I also agree w/ Melissa, we were arguing before the lesson & after holding e/o & talking/laughing, trying to work our way through it, we left smiling and closer than ever.
