Dance lessons?

I'm curious about what you girls are doing about the first dance. Anyone taking lessons? FH and I are not planning on doing any sort of lessons, but I don't know if this is a good idea since we don't dance much to begin with.

I figure it's a slow song and we don't have to do anything fancy.. but is that too boring?

Re: Dance lessons?

I started taking lessons with Jon from Ballroom Dance Long Island. He is a vendor on here.

HIs prices are very reasonable ($280 for 4 lessons +1 first free lesson).

I highly recommend him. He is very accomodating with hours as well.

Re: Dance lessons?

We started our dance lessons with Crystal Ballroom. After one lessons we are so hooked and so glad we are taking them. We get five 1/2 private lessons and five one hour group lessons for $150. The last wedding we went to the couple that was dancing was very painful to watch. Beyond boring. We so didn't want to be that couple.

Re: Dance lessons?

I think we should go for dance lessons. We don't have a clue on how to dance, maybe we could bluff. Hey there are lots of youtube dance videos! That might be ok for practice, right>?

Re: Dance lessons?

My FH and I are takin dance lessons through the East Meadow H.S. These classes are usually a little cheaper. I think it comes out to $6-8/class x 8 classes (every Wed). Rico is the name of the instructor.
