Dance lessons?

For those of you who have taken or are taking dance lessons with FH, where did you take them? Preferably in Nassau or really western Suffolk.

My mom is buying FH and I dance lessons for Christmas, but she needs to know where she should send us

we are using John from Ballroom Dance LI. he was the most reasonably priced.
he will give you a free introductory lesson so you can see if you like him before going further, its an hour lesson.

he can go to several dance studio locations. i know you are near me, we went to one in bethpage. it was in the town near a bar/restaurant oh my i forgot the name now. its right off the 135 or you can get to it at the end of the bethpage parkway

near b.k. sweeneys i think its called

I don't think so, just in general. FH isn't exactly the best dancer....as a matter of fact, he hates dancing. So I'm hoping dance lessons will help him out a little.

Re: Dance lessons?

FH and I were discussing this. Do we choreograph our first dance, a dance in the middle or the last dance? Originally FH said that he didn't want Michael Buble's 'Save the Last Dance' unless we could choreograph it. But now he's thinking that's too late in the night.

What do you guys think?

My mom is giving us the same thing. We are using NY Body Rhythms. There an LIW vendor. I think for 5 1 hour lessons it was $280.

If you just want a general dance class to kind of learn rhythm then I truly suggest trying the sumba class at my dance studio. Its mostly adults (a few couples). its a little fast paced, but suzie makes sure everyone is comfortable.
we offer other styles as well.

but if its for choreography of the 1st dance.. I guess AM. They seem to be popular.. or even contact Crystal New York Crystal Dance in West Islip
they're mostly ballroom.. and I imagine they're affordable, a friend of mine did ballet, tap and jazz there growing up.

Pre-Wedding Lessons

Let us help you make that special day even more special. Enjoy a unique thrill as you sweep the dance floor during your first dance as husband and wife. We can teach you to dance to the wedding song of your choice, or we can suggest some traditional or contemporary wedding songs for you to try. Learn a basic Waltz for Daddy's Little Girl, or a Rumba for the groom's dance with his mother. You might even want to learn a little Hustle for all those disco songs played during the reception.

Wedding couples can choose to take the Beginner Special for $75, or the Special Wedding Package of five half-hour private lessons and five hours of group lessons for just $155.

There is a studio in RVC that is really cheap for group lessons. I think it is near Blackthorne's or whatever that bar is called. It's $15pp when you go. FH and I may do that a few times because it's really cheap and we don't wanna cheograph anything, just learn to dance a little better.

We're taking classes at Fred Astaire in Huntington, but it's pretty expensive. There's an introductory offer of two 30 minute private lessons and a group lesson for $60, but after that it gets much pricier.
