Dance Lessons Help

Hi everyone... so I'm a wedding newbie and just need some advise. My fiance and I were planning on taking dance lessons at Nassau Community College b/c it was in expensive and thought we can learn a few steps... I just found out the classes are canceled for Spring 07. Any ideas? We don't want to spend a fortune.

Also, I'm really getting married in NJ b/c that's where I'm from, but I just moved to LI with my fiance.
Hope to meet some new brides

Re: Dance Lessons Help

i lived in NJ - jersey city heights - for a year and my FH lives and works in jersey now and we're looking to move in together back there. Hopefully around the hoboken vicinity. welcome to LI! i'm gonna miss LI when i move back to jersey.

as for dance classes, im just starting to look into it myself. i think we'llend up taking in the city only cause its inbetween where we both live right now and when we move in together in jersey we'll be able to get there easily. there are tons there, but i dont know details or prices yet. ill let you know if i find or hear anything. let me know also!

your town will send you info at the school and they offer dance lessons for 40 dollars. You can call the town and find out about it.

Thanks ladies... I'll have to do a little more research (so we don't embarress ourselves). LOL!

Oh, and I hope you move to Hoboken. I loved it there sooo much and miss it! There's so much to do with the best view of NYC and the best restaurants.

I'm still trying to find a good sushi place in the Oceanside area. Umi's pretty good

Thanks so much for the offer, but there's no way we'll be able to make it either... shopping, holiday parties, work, etc. Too much to do and only a few weeks left of the year.
Oh well... I'll have to look for next year and hope there's a good deal.

Re: Dance Lessons Help

we used John from www.ballroomdancelongisland.com. I believe he is a vendor on this site. the prices weren't that bad. the more lessons you take, he will drop the price a little. nice guy to work with too. very patient. it made our first dance really nice, even though I got nervous and my DH had to talk me through it. LOL! but it went over well.
