dance with your parents

Do you think this is a bad idea, during the father/daughter dance have your FH dance with your mom and then during the mother/son dance you dance with FH's dad

For myself, it has to be separate. I plan on asking my FH's father to dance at another time along with the rest of my guests as will my FH ask my mother. My father's passing is too recent and I prefer not to be in the spotlight with anyone but my brother or mother (if she is up to it). But do as you wish.

We are doing ours seperate but its all about what you and FH want, if you like it together definately do it that way.

i'm probably still doing it separately, but i was just thinking itd be nice, so the mom of bride and dad of groom dont feel left out

i found another song to do this:

after i dance with my dad and he dances with his mom another song will be played and i will dance with his dad and he with my mom.... all of us are VERY close

I think we're going to avoid the dancing with the other parent thing. I'm still annoyed at his father, and he's not too fond of my mother.

I think it sounds great if you only have 4 parents! I totally would have done that but we have 5.

We are doing it separate. I want our parents to feel special & have their moments with us. Considering I am dancing also with my mom, I think we are going to do a separate dance later on where both I dance with his dad & he dances with my mom

We are all very close, but I am also dancing with my mom, so I dont want to take more guest dancing time away... We all get along so it is not a matter of liking eachother, just a time thing,so is it necessary?

I danced with my FIL at the wedding informally..it was still caught on film and video and we had a great time...we did the lindy!

We are doing this! My FH's mom passed away a few years ago and my dad is in Europe and will not be attending my wedding, therefore, FH will dance with my mom and I will dance with his dad.
