guess what? my aunt gave my FH and I a few lessons at a local dance co. I'm SOOO excited...except that we don't have a song yet... and we're going tonight!!! yikes! uh oh...better get looking for a song! wish me luck though, FH...he's a sweetheart, but he's got two left feet (BIG TIME!! :o) i just want us to look... not too bad on the dance floor :o)
ETA: can i just say i'm SOOOOO deflated?!?! well, our lesson was GREAT. me and FH had so much fun. he did so so good! we were so excited ...so afterwards, they asked if we wanted to talk about their sessions/packages/etc... well, how much do you think 8 private dances lessons and 8 group lessons would cost? anyone? $1200.

10 and 10 at our dance studio was about $1100. It really is expensive but it's money well spent because you won't forget how to dance!!

i think we're gonna do something like that too! i don't wanna have to start selling myself to pay for dance lessons. what a racket! sheesh!

i am taking lessons from Diane at NY Body Rhythms and she is AMAZING! she teaches private lessons at her house and she isn't that expesnvie AT ALL
she has a Wedding Dance package which is 4 one hour lessons for $250. she also has 5 one hour private loessons for $275
definitely give her a call!

I think thats pretty much normal as far as the rate for dance lessons goes. We are taking lessons with John from Ballroom Dance, his are $75 each and we are doing 8.
