Anyone been there for dinner or stayed at the hotel? We're considering planning our rehearsal dinner and blocking rooms there. Any opinions welcome.

Re: Danford's
I stayed there on my wedding night - it was a gift from one of my BM. Port Jeff is a fun town. Are you able to go there for dinner or drinks one night before you book it?

Re: Danford's
I've been to Danford's twice.
Great place, small lovely town. The food is four star, and the rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. If it wasn't soo far out on the island, I would have loved to have my wedding there.
I'd recommend it to anyone

We go to Danford's every year for our anniversary because we live close by. The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is great! I'd definitely recommend it!!

Re: Danford's
That is where I am having my RD!! I would definitely recommended having either room A or B because they are the rooms facing the water. There is one room I believe it is C that is just a room and not as inviting. I would definitely go down there to check it out before hand because that is what we did and we were glad because we got to pick the room facing the water. I have heard really great things about the place and food is suppose to be great!

I'm getting married there ... we've had lunch but not the tasting yet. The guest rooms I've seen are very nice.
My only beef with them is they renovated the room our reception is being held in and never told us (we read it in Newsday!!!).

I've never eaten there, but it's very pretty, and they have a nice view of the water.
