Danford's tasting tonight

I was pleasantly surprised!! Not that I thought the food would suck or anything but it was better than good and very nice presentation!

What kind of food did you get to taste? Glad it went well for you.

We tasted:

two apps - lobster bisque and the fruit in a coconut.

three salads - classic ceasar; tom/mozz/greens w/basil vinegarette and mixed greens w/cabernet vinegarette

four entrees: chicken marsala; jumbo shrimp scampi; salmon w/artichoke hearts in a champagne beurre blanc sauce and chateaubriand w/bernaise sauce. All service with carrots/green beans & roasted garlic smashed (the shrimp was served with rice).

three desserts: passion fruit sorbet; tiramisu and champagne sabyon w/berries.

I ate too much!!!!! Only thing we did not like was the bernaise sauce so we are going to see if we can have a demi glace or au jus type sauce. I don't eat fish but FH chose the salmon over the shrimp. The chicken was yummy. The cabernet vinegarette was really good.

Again, all dishes had very nice presentation as well.
